2018 WLI Alumni Legislative Reception
Many WLI alumni came together at the offices of the Florida Forestry Association on January 30th for the annual WLI Alumni Legislative Reception. Thank you to Alumni Treasurer Matt Webb (Class VII) and Region I Director Richard Schwab (Class VI) for helping organize this opportunity for alumni to gather in Tallahassee!

WLI Alumni Gather with South Dakota Friends at the Watering Hole
We had an incredible turnout on February 1st at Cowpoke’s Watering Hole in Sebring, FL. Over 30 different alumni in the south west Florida area came to this dinner to gather with old friends and make new ones. WLI Alumni were also joined by 15 alumni from the South Dakota Agricultural and Rural Leadership program. Region V Co-directors Susie Bishop (Class VIII) and Bob Conrad (Class IV) organized this event. Alumni President Ray Royce (Class VII) spoke on behalf of the association, and all were given the opportunity to introduce themselves. This was such a fun night, and if you weren’t there, you missed out!

Class IX Member Welcomes New Baby!
Class IX graduate John Evans and wife Ann welcomed a beautiful baby girl on January 23rd. Elizabeth Ann Jewel joins older Jack in the Evans household. Congratulations, John and Ann! We can’t wait to meet her!
Region IV event on February 24th
Come one, come all (the more the merrier!) to a Region IV get-together at the home of Alumni Secretary Lisa Lochridge (Class VII) and husband Mick Lochridge in Apopka, FL.
Shane Platt (Class II) will be manning the grill and other food details will be forthcoming! We’d love to see folks from this region and others who would like to come enjoy the afternoon!
