Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame Brings Alumni Together

Valentine’s Day became a Wedgworthy affair thanks to the annual Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame Banquet at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, FL.

On February 14th, 2017, a reception and banquet was held in honor of this year’s inductees, bringing together representatives and industry leaders from across the state of Florida.

The 2017 Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame inductees include: Eugene Badger, William Cook, Joe Marlin Hilliard, and Dr. W. Bernard Lester.  State Representative Jake Raburn served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event, and Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam introduced each of the inductees.

Cook is the father of one of our alumni members, Bob Cook of Class III.  We honor and thank the Cook family for their contributions to the agriculture industry in Florida.

After the completion of the banquet award presentations, many Wedgworth alumni in attendance gathered for a “family photo.”

Even as there were other alumni in attendance who are not featured in the photo, it was clear that the Wedgworth Leadership Institute was well represented at this year’s Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame Banquet!
